Pets In Need of Homes at Vieques Island Animal Sanctuary
The Sanctuary primarily seeks homes for dogs and cats anywhere in the United States. Our adoptees are seen and treated for any problems by a vet and then placed in foster care prior to adoption.
We have a working arrangement with various airlines and the Vieques ferry to transport adoptees to their forever home. Our volunteers prepare the necessary paper for air travel and will meet the person, who will be transporting the adoptee, at the San Juan Airport.
The adopter is responsible for the pet’s airfare and other costs associated with transport to its forever home. Rather than an adoption fee, a donation to the Sanctuary is appreciated.
Animals that for a variety of reasons are not adoptable are cared for at the sanctuary in comfortable runs where they have real soil under their feet. At the end of 2021, three dogs are available for adoption.

Cats Seeking Their Forever Home
No cats are available for adoption at this time, and that’s a good thing! Please check back regularly for new adoptees, or join our mailing list to get notified of new rescues. However our feral cats are up for virtual adoption where you can support their care and feeding via a donation.
